About

I am a:

1. Graphic Designer.

2. Capricorn who doesn’t believe in astrology.

A long time ago in a galaxy university far, far away… from affordable, I graduated from NYU with a major in Media, Culture and Communications. After a few unsatisfying and underpaid internships and jobs, I decided to drop everything and taught myself graphic design. Now I somehow find myself as the lead designer of Charitybuzz, and I’m having a blast doing what I love.

From strategizing campaigns to designing a paid ad, I always start with one thing: setting up a good playlist (I’ll share them with you if you’re also one of 10 people on Apple Music with me). Then, perhaps more importantly I always try to pinpoint a clever insight. For me, design isn’t just about making something that’s cool to look at, but something that will tilt your head because it’s grasped something in you. Whether it makes someone smile scratch their chin, I try to make my ideas fun.

When I’m not working, I can be found painting, reading books, playing guitar, building model kits, watching anime, playing video games, or just taking power naps. Here are some recommendations if you have some free time.

Film: In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai. An exceedingly beautiful movie.

Show: Attack on Titan. Action, intrigue, politics, philosophy, one of the shows that will define our generation.

Book: Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. A relatively simple love story by my favorite author. The rest of his works can be harder to understand magical realism, but this is the perfect entry point.
